Lauren Milner has been my personal trainer for the last several years guiding my fitness program. During this period I required a partial knee replacement a year ago. Prior to surgery, Lauren focused on making sure I was physically fit for the procedure and also including strengthening exercises for both knees. Following the operation I went to all my rehab sessions at the hospital and the trainer said I was recovering quickly because I was fit and strong going into surgery. After returning to the gym, Lauren worked with me to complete my full recovery.
As I age I am concerned about osteoporosis. Lauren has discussed with me the importance of healthy eating, weight bearing and muscle strengthening exercises to maintain bone density.

ren developed for me now focuses on overall body strengthening, balance, and cardio. Lauren has been able to modify my fitness program as my needs have changed and always guided the introduction of new exercises and equipment focusing on form, technique, and balance so that progress was made within my limits and most importantly, without injuries. My current program can be done using the machines in the gym or with simple weights. Thus I was able to continue my fitness program while traveling overseas for 10 weeks.
I am now completing a full fitness program with Lauren. I am very comfortable on the machines and back full time in my favorite group fitness classes. What a great feeling!

On June 7, 2013, I will have been working with Lauren Milner for a full year. A year ago, the goals I set for myself were to lose 10 lbs, keep my back from going out on the tennis court (by strengthening my core, improving my conditioning and flexibility) and improve my ability on the tennis. My workouts with Lauren are wonderful! She takes great time and care to give me a workout to work on my goals and sends me home with a daily workout assignment. Over time I have become more faithful at keeping up my end at home! A year later, I am feeling great, avoiding back problems, and have better strength and conditioning on the tennis court! I just want to show my appreciation for your outstanding support of my training program for mountain climbing. The issues involved include a variety of schedule issues as well as standard fitness issues.
Your cooperation on setting up
appropriate sessions to cover the trip were a great benefit. Your advice on how to best tackle the balance issue has helped a great deal. Up to the point when I talked to you, I had been using a Bosu ball for this effort. You suggested the flat inflated tire platform instead – which has proven to be much better. I am now making progress in that area, where as before, I was making no progress. Your willingness to go to a considerable effort to assist me in gathering performance statistics has been critical in trying to figure out if the training I was doing was actually producing a measurable improvement in fitness. Something that was very hard for me to determine otherwise.
You have now established a fitness measurement baseline with respect to oxygen metabolic rates relating to stairmaster exercise which I am not only using for the pending climb of Kalla Pattar but which I am going to be able to use in the climb scheduled on Rainier next August. Thanks loads for your help on this entire effort!

This gym has been such a blessing to me! Before coming here I had never really worked out before but was having major problems with my back. After three pregnancies and no physical activity I think my back was finally paying the price! After consulting with a physician I was diagnosed with spinal stenosis and arthritis in my lower back. They said I had the back of an 80 yr old woman, but I’m in my 30′s! I did 6 months of physical therapy and it did nothing. As a last resort I joined the gym and started attending the mom’s fit club classes. Lauren Milner is amazing and has literally been a life saver for me! She has taught me so much about core strength and stretching for very mom specific “problems.” I went from pain every day while walking to running 10 mile races pain free!
